Volunteer!

At Explorer West, working together and helping each other out is part of our everyday culture. It is commonplace to see students and families jumping in to lend a hand as needed. We offer a wide variety of engagement opportunities throughout the year - everything from 15 minutes of assistance with a single project, to helping with larger events, to ongoing support roles. The volunteer signup is sent out each week and is always posted in our Family Portal

In addition, we welcome parents, caregivers, and community members to share their skills and interests with our students. Examples inlucde presenting in a class or at an assembly, assisting with a club or service group, or leading an after school enrichment program.

A key volunteer role at EW is serving on the Board of Trustees. Trustees provide guidance and leadership for our school community. We seek to recruit and retain a strategic, diverse, and passionate Board of Trustees to work on our strategic planning initiatives and lead committees. These committees include Development, Strategic Planning, Budget and Finance, Facilities, Trustee Affairs, and Diversity.
