How to Apply

Start your application by “Exploring” our school on the Ravenna website and creating a profile for your student. From there, you can sign up for events and view application steps. A quick-start guide to Ravenna can be found here.

Attend one of our Open Houses, Community Coffees, or visit us at a School Fair.

Submit the Family Application and Application Fee of $60 through Ravenna. If you have trouble accessing it online or would like to request an application waiver fee, please contact Dawn Fornear.

In addition to the family application form, the following forms are required as part of a completed application:

• Parent/Guardian Statement*
• Student Essay*
• Student Activity/Interest Form*
• Student Short Answer Form*
• (2) Two Teacher Evaluation Requests
  • Core academic subject teachers, if possible
  • At least one evaluation from a current teacher
• School Records Request*
  • Current transcripts/report cards
  • Two previous years' transcripts/report cards
  • Attendance records, and standardized testing, if available.

*These are all common forms and are shared among PSIS Schools. If you complete the form for one school, you will not have to complete it for additional schools.

For families applying for Fall 2025, Student Visit Days will be Feb 3rd and March 7, 2025. You can register for the sessions in Ravenna. This visit is for 6th grade applicants.

If you are applying for 7th or 8th grade, or if these dates do not work for your family's schedule, please contact Dawn to schedule an individual visit.

Additional Visit Information

The purpose of the visit is to allow your child a chance to experience our community, get to know our teachers, and learn more from our current students. It is also a chance for our community to get to know your child.

Note: A student visit is a required part of a complete application.

Tours provide parents and caregivers with more information about our community and offer time to share information about your student or family with us.

In-Person Tours

During your time at EW, you will get to meet teachers, students, and staff. You will get to experience our school culture through class visits.

We recommend tours for parents and caregivers only. This can be lengthy for a student and focuses on high-level information. The student visit day has been tailored especially for your child to experience EW in a fun and engaging way!

We can also provide shorter tours for families that would like to include their student.

Entrance exams are not required for all students.

For 6th grade applicants, assessments may be requested, depending on the availability of academic information in your student's file.

For 7th and 8th grade applicants, these assessments are a required part of the admission process.
