Alumni Visit from Seattle Prep Students

We prepare our students for high school throughout their time at Explorer West. For eighth-grade students, we invite a variety of high schools to help them learn about the unique offerings at different schools. Staff representatives and students talk about their school and allow our students to ask questions. Our 8th graders explore possibilities and learn what’s important to them as they make decisions about their next step.

This week, we were excited to welcome some alumni that currently attend Seattle Prep. They met with the eighth-grade class at lunch to talk about the transition to high school, the activities they’re involved in, and how to become part of the community. They shared what experiences at Explorer West prepared them for high school; Tim’s essay structure challenges, Debate Club, and Latin class were just a few of the things Alumni mentioned!

It was exciting to see them all thriving and inspired to come back to share their knowledge with current students!
