Winter VAM Night a Success!

On Wednesday, Explorer West faculty, students, and families gathered at the Chief Sealth auditorium for Visual Arts and Music (VAM) Night! Students from all grades proudly presented the songs they have been practicing this Fall.   6th grade played some favorite winter songs, 7th grade played the Star Wars theme song, and 8th grade treated us to their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody! There were many highlights and surprises, including some guest conductors from the 7th grade and Head of School Barbara’s triangle solo with all the strings musicians. Then Sarah followed up with a video of students completing their Fall art projects.

After the performances, alumni Sofia Lopez, Violet Beck, and Julia Parks presented Charlotte and Sarah with flowers on behalf of the EW community. Thank you to everyone who helped with student delivery, practice sessions, instrument hauling, and more! Also, thank you to Meghan Jones, a 6th grade parent who volunteered to take photos and captured the event beautifully! We can’t wait for Spring VAM Night!
