Dear Families and Friends of Explorer West:
Please take a little time to think about the impact Explorer West had on your daughter, son, grandson, granddaughter, or special friend and continue reading to see how you can make a difference in the lives of many more deserving kids for years to come.
The gift that gives forever
The Legacy Circle recognizes those individuals and families who have included gifts to the Rick Marting Financial Aid Endowment in their wills and estate planning. These gifts are known as bequests. They help us keep the Endowment growing so that we can continue to provide financial aid to the 29% of our students who otherwise could not attend Explorer West every year and eventually assist every student in need.
Making a bequest is simple. Whether you are writing a will for the first time or revising an existing will, you can make a bequest to Explorer West by designating a specific amount or as a percentage of your estate. A bequest can change as your circumstances change and you will retain the use and control of your assets during your lifetime.
To determine what is best for you, let your lawyer or financial advisor know you would like to make a bequest. They will help you determine what type of gift best suits your financial situation.

I’ve included a bequest for the Rick Marting Financial Aid Endowment in my will and I hope you will consider doing the same thing. Together we can make a real difference in the lives of children who might not be able to attend Explorer West otherwise.
To learn more about making a bequest or for other gift options, please download the Planned Giving FAQ PDF or contact Carol LaMotte at 206.935.0495. Please don’t forget to tell us about your gift by downloading and completing the Explorer West Legacy Circle Gift Notification Form and mailing it to the address indicated on the form.
Thank you again for all that you do to help make Explorer West such a special place.
