Check out important upcoming events on our calendar below. Please call school directly with any scheduling questions. The weekly bulletin is the best source of the most up-to-date scheduling information.
This special exhibit offers a rare opportunity to experience the fierce beauty of art from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is a perfect experience for our eighth graders in preparation for their trip to Rome next month.
Other than the field trip, it will be a regular school day. Please make sure your student has a hearty breakfast and brings a sack lunch that does not require a microwave. Good walking shoes and a rain jacket are required. Teachers and students will travel downtown in EW school vans.
The 6th graders are about to begin building the snowshoes they’ll wear for the winter outdoor education trips. We rely on parent help in the classroom to make this run as smoothly as possible. No specific skills or tools are required; we’ll give you any training you’ll need for the day’s work. Please stay tuned for information about signing up to help! Contact Krisitin with any questions.
To make our Family Network meetings more accessible to more families, the next one will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16th, from 6 to 7pm, here at school, discussion topic TBD. Alex will be supervising pizza and board games (feel free to bring a favorite) for Explorer West students and SCHOOL-AGED siblings, from 5:45 to 7pm, and we will be providing pizza for all children and adults who attend.
All students in all grades will perform music and showcase their visual artwork. Student attire is black shoes, black pants or skirt, and a white shirt. We have accumulated extra concert clothes in the gear library and if you need to borrow concert clothes please let Charlotte know by January 20th. If you cannot attend or have questions, please email Charlotte () and Sarah ().
